Our client is a Medical Equipment manufacture that builds and deploys worldwide real-life integrated hardware/software solutions to deliver the highest quality patient care as efficiently as possible. They compete with Philips, Siemens, etc. and are HQ'ed here in the Pacific NW.
As part of this mission the Application Software organization is looking for a Security Program Manager to coordinate secure software development across four worldwide research and development sites. Your role would be to manage security update certification across several product lines and to consult with software development teams around the world on secure development practices.
In order to do this you should be an experienced information security professional with an understanding of both infrastructure and software development security practices.

Compensation: Base Salary up to $130k DOE plus benefits (healthcare, on-site fitness center, paid time off, etc.)
This is for a FTE or full-time employment position. No H1b visa candidates, must live in the Seattle, Bellevue, Issaquah and or Redmond, Washington areas.
Responsibilities:
Develop guidelines for the testing and reporting of software update compatibilities with existing products
Manage team of three software testers running the compatibility testing
Work with development managers in US, Scotland and China to ensure that software development includes latest secure coding practices
Develop and evangelize frameworks for information security within product requirements
Report to company executives as to progress on improving product security across several dimensions, including the classic Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability
Accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision
Demonstrate good documentation discipline
Participate in technical reviews to ensure that product security is part of the quality requirement
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience
Ten years of experience in application software development and/or infrastructure consulting, including a minimum of five years of experience in Information Security
Exposure to native and managed code development
Experienced in working in a consultative role at varying levels, from individual contributor to executive
Demonstrated ability to independently accomplish assigned tasks and work with others
Excellent written and oral communication skills
The ability to function effectively in a multi-discipline team environment is required
