com/What We Are Looking For:
The Director of Rooms is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of both the Front Desk and Housekeeping departments.
They will be responsible for ensuring that all guest needs are met and that the hotel's operational standards and policies are adhered to.
The Director of Rooms shall strive to provide exceptional service to both Team Members and Guests, and exemplify The Woodmark Hotel & Still Spa Culture while promoting our hotel values of Honesty, Enthusiasm, Integrity, Accountability, and Passion for Service.
The Director of Rooms will also serve as a senior leader and Manager on Duty of the hotel, in the absence of the General Manager.
Essential Job Functions:
Oversees day-to-day operations of the Rooms Management departments; Front Desk/Guest Services approximately (75%), and Housekeeping (25%).
Participates in department and hotel meetings.
Coaches and counsels Team Members to reflect The Woodmark's culture, standards, and procedures.
Conducts Performance Reviews for direct reports.
Resolves guest requests and complaints with the highest level of hospitality, empathy, and professionalism.
Maintains an up-to-date working knowledge of all hotel amenities and events.
Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, maintains accurate time records.
Instills a calm, organized, positive approach when interacting in stressful situations.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Follows all Woodmark Hotel dress code standards.
Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all times.
Maintains and improves the guest satisfaction rate.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Experience & Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous Front Office management experience required.
Previous Housekeeping experience a plus.
Hospitality specialty degree of prior hospitality experience is a plus.
3-5 years' experience in a similar position preferred.
Strong knowledge of hotel systems and operations.
Job Requirements:
Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions:
Must be able to stand on feet throughout the shift, with intermittent periods of walking.
Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 lbs at shoulder height.
Must be able to occasionally push/pull up to 75 lbs.
Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally.
Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis.
While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat).
Must be able to climb stairs occasionally, both indoors and outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat).

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
