Manager - Education And Employment Services

The Manager of Education and Employment Services develops, implements, and oversees the appropriate delivery of education and employment services to youth and young adults who are homeless or were formerly homeless.
They assist clients in obtaining and maintaining employment that is consistent with their vocational goals.
The Manager of Education and Employment Services ensures clients needs are met with the fewest possible barriers.
Essential Duties Education Tasks Assess vocational functioning of clients on an ongoing basis, utilizing background information and work experiences.
Take clients to investigate local GED programs, colleges, etc.
Provide supported education, using principles similar to supported employment to clients who express interest in education, to advance their employment goals.
Provide education and support to employers as agreed upon by clients, which may include assessment, resource connection, support, and employment accommodation.
Employment Tasks Conduct job development and job search activities directed toward positions that are individualized to the interests and uniqueness of clients being served.
Conduct employer contacts to learn about the needs of the business, describe support offered by the program and describe client strengths that are relevant to the position.
Provide individualized follow-along support to assist clients in maintaining employment.
Develop Employment Goals Plans with clients, incorporate input from the program team and adjust plan according to clients needs and preferences.
Meet with clients and potential employers at community locations such as home, workplace, coffee shop, library, One-Stop, etc.
, and accompany clients to apply for jobs.
Supervisory Tasks Work collaboratively with Human Resources, to recruit, interview, select, onboard, train, supervise and evaluate employees.
Assist the Director with the development of onboarding and learning programs based on contracts, grants, licensing, and Council on Accreditation (COA) requirements.
Alert the Director and Human Resources of any job performance issues which may require disciplinary action.
Supervise and facilitate weekly supervision meetings with the Case Managers.
Ensure all supervision notes are maintained and current for all employee-held meetings.
Manage the Emergency Phone Line on a rotating basis.
Lead and/or assist with planning and hosting regular team meetings.
Ensure adequate training for employees, including specific emphasis on the principles of Housing First, Trauma- Informed Care, Harm Reduction and Positive Youth Development.
Ensure employees are familiar with overall agency personnel policies and procedures and job descriptions.
Service Design and Delivery Tasks Ensure compliance with major grants, contracts, data collection and reporting requirements.
Become familiar with and monitor implementation of the requirements of funding/referral agencies.
Maintain a positive working relationship with the key employees of the funding/referral agencies.
Prepare accurate and timely reports for funders as required.
Meet weekly with the Director to discuss and review program operations and policies, initiate discussion on areas of concern and report on the status of clients.
Maintain, review, and approve, required case notes, documentation, and reports.
Adhere to the agencys policies, procedures, Council on Accreditation, and funding requirements.
Client Focused Tasks Provide outreach services as necessary to clients when they appear to disengage from the service.
Meet with clients prior to job start and after job starts to identify support needs.
Participate in face-to-face meetings with vocational rehabilitation counselors at least once per month to coordinate services for clients.
Develop an individualized education and/or employment plan with clients, incorporating input from the program team.
Ensure the timely completion of forms and reports required by the agency and all funders.
Oversee proper delivery of support services to clients.
Oversee completion of quarterly Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) reviews and summaries.
Community Relations Maintain a positive working relationship with Administration, health providers, faith-based organizations, and other groups who might provide services or refer clients.
Establish and maintain strong connections with community agencies and other relevant resources to identify needed services for youth.
Represent the agency on inter-agency taskforces, networks, etc.
Connect with other providers to share program information and coordinate services.

Bachelors degree in a human service field preferred.
Five years of relevant working experience, including supporting young people experiencing homelessness or housing instability Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or management experience Ability to pass a criminal background check & TB test WA Drivers license with a safe driving record Proof of COVID-19 vaccination Must be at least 21 years of age We offer:
